Microsoft has a slew of updates for its Facebook app for Windows Phone.

Facebook, the world's dominant social network, received a slew of updates on the Windows Phone 8, 8.1 and 10 platforms. The app is developed and maintained by Microsoft unlike other platforms where Facebook builds its own app. This update proves that Microsoft has been hard at work to bring some much needed features to the app and that will certainly please those who use Facebook exclusively on Windows Phone. Check out the full change log below and head over to the Windows Phone store to update Facebook.

Version Notes:
· Profile post editing
· Cover photo management
· Profile picture management
· Threaded comments
· Comment reply functionality
· Album comment functionality
· Create new albums via post composer
· Share content to external sources
· News Feed improvements
· Interactive notification improvements
· Contact sync improvements
· Date & time localization improvements
· Stability improvements
· Improvements to Continuum experience
· Bug fixes

gPlus, an excellent Google+ client for Windows Phone receives minor update.

Google attempt at building its own social network to rival Facebook has so far not been met with success and that no matter what Google fanboys want you to believe. Facebook remains the undisputed leader in social networking. However, if like me, you still hang out on Google+ and would like to do so on a Windows Phone, there's the excellent gPlus app, a third party client that brings Google's network to your Windows Phone with a modern UI - it is not a web wrapper.

With gPlus, you will be able to create and edit your post and comments, upload your photos, join communities and circles. All that from your Windows Phone.

gPlus was updated today with some bug fixes and can be downloaded/puchased in the Windows Phone store at the price of $0.99.

"My Social Share Target" brings sharing to multiple social networks back to Windows Phone 8.1 preview.

No doubt Windows Phone 8.1 Preview has got the attention of many. Two weeks since its release, the preview has more than a million download and has garnered a lot of positive reviews. No need to say Windows Phone fan boys and fan girls are happy and excited about the preview. However, there are a few things that Microsoft chose to remove in Windows Phone 8.1 Preview. One among them is the ability to share to multiple social networks with just one tap. A feature unique to Windows Phone until the release of the preview. By removing this feature , some are claiming that Windows Phone 8.1 Preview sharing feature looks a lot like...Android. And it does. But the comparison stops there.

Enter MSiccDev.

Since last week, an app has been published to the Windows Phone Store by MSiccDev to fill in for the multiple sharing feature removed by Microsoft. The app is called "My Social Share Target SL" and is a test version everyone can download and submit feedback. My only issue with it is its name which I hope will change on final release.

My Social Share Target adds the multiple sharing feature back to Windows Phone, accessible either via the app list, a pinned tile and, better yet, via the Me tile. The latter feature will let you post a status update to multiple social networks again. Currently, Facebook and Twitter are supported with more to come.

My Social Share Target is a free download in the Windows Phone Store.
