Skype Qik now lets you move messages between conversation; special holiday surprised added.

I have never been a fan of Snapchat, so it's no surprise that Skype Qik is there on my devices and has never been used if not for a few tests when it was released. If, unlike me, you're a user or fan of Skype Qik, then head over to the store as there is an update waiting for you. Maybe the changes listed below will make sense to you and improve your Qik, say "Quick", experience.

As mentioned in the title, the Qik team included a special holiday surprise in this update. It consists of falling snow flakes  upon launching the app. Don't worry, the flakes go away after a few seconds.

Here's what is new in this version of Skype Qik:

  • Qik Fliks are here. (Just in case you missed them in the last update).
  • New menu lets you delete, save, or send your message to another conversation.
  • PLUS, a special holiday surprise!

6tag (Instagram) and 6snap (Snapchat) for Windows Phone updated.

The two excellent unofficial Instagram (6tag) and Snapchat (6snap) clients for Windows Phone have been updated today. Developed by Windows Phone star developer, Rudy Huyn, 6tag and 6snap include features that are not even available on official clients on competing platforms. Windows Phone does have an official Instagram client currently in beta.

In the update published yesterday, 6tag has been bumped to version 3.3.1 which now lets users check followers requests on a new page. An issue with user search has also been fixed. Finally the last improvement brings better support for Russian language.

6snap is the unofficial client for Windows Phone. In today's update the developer added better conversation management. Users are now able to either delete a specific conversation or all of them.

Both updates are live in the store. Use the links below to download the apps or update them:

6snap updated with group support.

Seems like Rudy Hyun never rests. 6snap, the unofficial SnapChat client for Windows Phone, has been updated with support for groups. In other words, it's a feature that lets you share pictures and videos with select groups instead of everyone in your address book. This feature has recently been added to official SnapChat client on other mobile platforms. It's pretty impressive how fast it got ported to an unofficial client on Windows Phone.

Check out the full change log:

- create group of friends !

Include these snapchat features :
- share pictures and videos with snapchat users
- post snaps on your story
- see stories, best friends and score of your friends
- draw and add text to your pictures
- search snapchat friends on your phone
- save your picture on your phone
- front and back camera
- manage your snapchat privacy
- notifications with custom ringtone

6snap (SnapChat) and 6tag(Instagram) updated.

Two mighty third party apps for Windows Phone have been updated. Both apps have been developed by Rudy Hyun, the most prolific Windows Phone developer I know. This guy is probably more busy than the president of the United States and yet he finds the time to create new apps while updating current ones.

Before Instagram even considered building an official app for Windows Phone, Rudy Hyun had a full featured client for my favourite mobile platform. Instagram recently released an official client for Windows Phone in beta version. It is one client that utterly sucks when compared to Rudy's fully dedicated work.

Rudy has updated two of his most popular apps today.

6snap (SnapChat)
- View snaps without holding the screen (option in settings)
- add new snapchat captcha when create a new account
- optimize performance

6tag (Instagram)
- Save instagram videos to your Skydrive
- bug fixes
